ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) leaders met Balochistan National Party (BNP) President Sardar Akhtar Mengal in the capital today in order to gain his party’s support for a strong position in the center.
Akhtar Mengal presented his party’s 6 demands which he claims are essential for the progress of Balochistan and that he has presented these demands to previous governments as well. The BNP President said that if PTI gives his party a positive response regarding their demands, they will consider PTI’s request.
PTI spokesman Naeem Ul Haque said that Balochistan’s prosperity is the top most priority of future Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan and that the PTI is currently working to arrange a meeting between Chairman Khan and Akhtar Mengal.
Moreover, BNP-M has formed two negotiating committees in a bid to hold talks with political parties for share of representation of BNP-M in the provincial assembly.
Later on Wednesday, BNP-M met with PTI’s Naeem ul Haq and Sardar Yar Mohammad Mengal. They discussed the prevalent political situation of the country. After meeting ,BNP-M leader Mengal held media talk. He said that no government has resolved the issues of Balochistan before and there is no way to move forward without paying attention to Balochistan issues, he maintained.
However, the meeting between BNP-M leader Akhtar Mengal and PTI chairman Imran Khan is scheduled later on Thursday at Bani Gala to discuss issues pertaining to formation of government in federal capital and in Balochistan.
